130 Montgomery St, San Francisco

130 Montgomery St, San Francisco

This smallish office block at 130 Montgomery St, San Francsico dates from 1930 and was designed by the O'Brien Brothers with Wilbur Peugh.

I like the polygon entrance surrounded by an arrangment of friezes. The element directly above the door is interesting. It could represent a keystone or an open book or both.

Then on either there are these wonderful stylised figures.
